Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and financial audits.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast budgets and monitor financial performance.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure smooth cash flow.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
