Job Summary
The Part-Time Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in bookkeeping, and preparing financial reports. You will work closely with the senior finance team to support our growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Process payroll for part-time staff members accurately and timely.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations.
- Respond to financial inquiries from staff and management in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity.
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
