Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and support external audit processes.
- Monitor departmental budgets and provide variance analysis to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
