Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage general ledger accounts and perform complex reconciliations for bank statements and intercompany accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve internal controls and accounting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
