Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly and annual financial close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide training on financial systems and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPA certification is highly desirable.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
