Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Manage complex financial reporting for multi-entity portfolios
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve financial processes and controls
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IRS regulations, and DC tax codes
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Proven experience managing month-end/year-end closing processes
