Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including month-end and year-end close procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss statements, in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Manage general ledger reconciliation and ensure the integrity of financial data across all departments.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable operations, optimizing cash flow management.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and tax preparations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements at the state and federal levels.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial data clearly.
