Responsibilities
- Prepare and examine monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Perform complex account reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of financial audits and tax returns.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with department heads to analyze budget variances and provide financial insights.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Prepare regulatory filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
