Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, journal entries, and month-end/quarter-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy for federal reporting
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes with strict attention to deadlines and documentation
- Conduct internal audits and reconcile complex accounts for multi-state operations
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities during examinations
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and automation tools
- Maintain compliance with federal procurement regulations (FAR, DFARS)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with federal contract exposure
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/QuickBooks)
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end closes and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of government contracting accounting principles
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one (required)
