Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements with detailed variance reporting
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes including reconciliations and journal entries
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Manage financial reporting systems (NetSuite/Oracle) and process improvements
- Coordinate external audits and respond to regulatory inquiries
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize team workflows
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes for executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder interactions
- Proven experience in closing processes and audit coordination
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a matrix organization
