Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and collateral to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit reports and risk assessments for commercial and consumer portfolios
- Collaborate with loan officers to structure compliant lending solutions
- Monitor existing credit portfolios for early risk detection
- Stay current on regulatory changes (FDIC, OCC, NYDFS) and implement compliance protocols
- Utilize advanced Excel modeling and credit scoring tools
- Present findings to credit committees with clear recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of commercial credit analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, financial modeling)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement analysis
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB) highly desirable
- Exceptional written communication for complex reporting
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proven track record in risk assessment and portfolio management
