Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide strategic insights to leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX regulations, and state tax requirements
- Lead cross-departmental budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
- Prepare and file federal/state tax returns and sales/use tax filings
- Mentor junior accounting staff and audit support activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and accounting software
- Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Strong knowledge of Florida tax regulations and corporate compliance
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with multinational corporations or Big 4 firms a plus
