Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for internal stakeholders
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely vendor/client payments
- Lead internal audits and implement process improvements for financial controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and evolving regulatory requirements
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize financial reporting workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Demonstrated success with financial reporting, audits, and compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax filings and regulatory reporting
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
