Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with meticulous attention to detail
- Conduct comprehensive audits of financial records to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
- Develop and implement efficient accounting systems and process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Lead tax preparation activities and ensure timely compliance with federal and state regulations
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide expert guidance on financial best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or corporate accounting
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (NetSuite a plus)
- Proven track record of managing full-cycle accounting operations for diverse portfolios
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial insights to stakeholders
- Deep understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
