Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions with emphasis on process optimization
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal stakeholders and regulatory compliance
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external auditor communications
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-departmental financial training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA/CPA preferred)
- Minimum 3 years public accounting experience with Big 4 or reputable regional firm
- Proficient in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions)
- Deep understanding of GAAP and Ohio state tax regulations
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and reducing operational costs
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication abilities for presenting complex financial data
