Responsibilities
- Manage daily, monthly, and year-end accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and budgets to support executive decision-making.
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Oversee the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and manage inventory valuations.
- Provide financial guidance and training to junior accounting staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
