Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Manage complex general ledger reconciliations and oversee the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and optimal cash flow.
- Assist with external audits and prepare necessary documentation for federal and state tax filings.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide actionable financial insights and long-term forecasting.
- Streamline internal accounting processes and implement best practices for remote finance teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CPA certification is highly preferred or a Master’s degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of US tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a distributed team environment.
