Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closing
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, budgets, and variance reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and state/federal tax regulations
- Lead internal audits and coordinate with external auditors
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic initiatives
- Maintain and optimize financial systems and processes
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide training on financial procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Deep understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
- Proven experience managing financial audits and compliance initiatives
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
