Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Manage general ledger reconciliations and resolve complex accounting discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including variance analysis and budget-to-actual comparisons.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings in compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to mitigate financial risk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational decision-making through financial data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders.
