Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and perform detailed variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Oversee general ledger functions and actively participate in the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns, ensuring all critical deadlines are met without exception.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits to ensure transparency, accuracy, and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting firms.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and generate actionable insights.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial findings to stakeholders and management.
