Responsibilities
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are accurate and timely.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings and support the annual audit process.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring all invoices are processed correctly.
- Analyze budget variances and provide recommendations to management for cost optimization.
- Maintain an organized filing system for all financial documentation and contracts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, tax laws, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
