Responsibilities
- Manage complex general ledger operations and ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple entities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes with rigorous reconciliation procedures
- Develop and implement internal controls to maintain SOX compliance and audit readiness
- Prepare detailed financial statements, variance analyses, and executive dashboards for senior leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and optimize cash flow management strategies
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA candidate required
- 5+ years progressive experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VBA)
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and reducing operational costs
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data
- Excellent communication abilities for presenting complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
- Experience managing multi-state accounting operations and tax compliance
