Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage complex month-end and year-end closing processes
- Lead internal controls implementation and SOX compliance initiatives
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting
- Coordinate external audits and tax preparation engagements
- Mentor junior accounting staff on best practices
- Automate reporting workflows using advanced Excel and ERP systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA required)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and multi-state tax compliance
- Proven experience with SOX 404 audits and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Certifications like CMA or CIA highly preferred
