In this pivotal role, you will lead our financial reporting processes, ensure strict adherence to GAAP standards, and provide strategic insights to drive our business growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate seamlessly with external auditors during year-end processes.
- Ensure all financial reporting complies with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a strong plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies in financial data.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently in a remote work environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
