Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure timely filings to avoid penalties.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to identify discrepancies.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure internal controls are effective and financial data is accurate.
- Collaborate with management to develop and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper (1-3 years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
