Responsibilities
- Manage complex general ledger operations and ensure month-end closing accuracy
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and tax regulations (federal/state)
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external auditor relationships
- Develop financial models for forecasting and strategic decision support
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel (Pivot Tables/VBA)
- Proven track record of managing full-cycle accounting operations
- Deep knowledge of tax compliance and audit procedures
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
