Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Lead tax preparation for S-Corporations and partnerships using ProSeries software
- Develop financial models and forecasts for startups and established tech companies
- Implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks and ensure audit readiness
- Mentor junior accountants and assist in process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting or corporate accounting experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (NetSuite a plus)
- Deep understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and California compliance requirements
- Proven experience with S-Corp tax filings and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions
