- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions and improve cash flow management
- Lead internal control audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Develop financial models for strategic planning and decision-making support
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Demonstrated experience with month-end close processes and reconciliations
- Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills for stakeholder presentations and reporting
