Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy, coding, and compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Manage the monthly closing process for the accounts payable ledger.
- Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve billing issues and answer inquiries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical filing systems for all financial records.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle) to track expenses and payments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable internet connection.
