Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure accurate financial record-keeping
- Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance for corporate and individual clients
- Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies
- Collaborate with audit teams during external reviews and regulatory inspections
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or private sector
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Sage 100 experience a plus)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize competing tasks
- Effective communication skills for presenting financial data to non-financial stakeholders
