Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement
- Prepare and maintain complex financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax compliance
- Collaborate with leadership on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Implement and optimize accounting systems and internal controls
- Lead cross-functional projects to enhance financial reporting accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience with public/private sector exposure
- Expertise in full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Deep understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and SOX compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
