Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable cycle including invoice processing, validation, and payment scheduling
- Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate payment records
- Collaborate with procurement and accounting teams to optimize payment terms and discounts
- Implement internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX regulations and company policies
- Analyze aging reports and implement strategies for efficient cash flow management
- Train and mentor junior AP staff on best practices and system utilization
- Support month-end closing procedures and financial reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on accounts payable experience in mid-to-large organizations
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance requirements
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience leading AP process improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication skills for vendor and stakeholder interactions
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with advanced formula knowledge
