Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable operations, managing vendor relations and ensuring timely payments.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, coordinating with external auditors during annual reviews.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to support executive decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
