Role Overview:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the audit process. You will work closely with management to provide accurate financial data and insights.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform complex account reconciliations and variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and collections.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights to senior management.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or auditing.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Excellent knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organizational skills.
