Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements for financial controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations
- Maintain and optimize accounting systems for efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate finance
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Sage 100 a plus)
- Demonstrated experience with financial reporting and reconciliation processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of tax preparation and audit procedures
