Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance explanations
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Develop and implement process improvements for accounting operations
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual financial reviews
- Maintain fixed asset ledgers and depreciation schedules
- Provide financial insights to support strategic business decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite)
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Proven experience with month-end close and reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
