Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile monthly bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update the general ledger system to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and the audit process.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and state regulations.
- Communicate with clients and vendors regarding billing and payments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas).
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
