As a Weekend Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health by ensuring our books are up to date, reconciled, and accurate. We pride ourselves on a collaborative environment and offer competitive compensation for our weekend staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform Monthly & Weekly Reconciliations: Ensure all bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts are accurately reconciled.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify vendor information, and ensure timely payments while tracking incoming payments from clients.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets for management review.
- Bank Deposits: Prepare and process weekly bank deposits securely and efficiently.
- Payroll Support: Assist with weekend payroll processing or data entry as needed to ensure accurate employee compensation.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure proper categorization of all financial transactions.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks and/or Excel (Advanced functions).
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred; High school diploma required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and errors in financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently.
- Availability: Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays consistently.
