Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare monthly financial statements.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Assist with annual tax preparation and ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations (GAAP).
- Conduct internal audits and expense analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Process payroll accurately and maintain payroll records.
- Collaborate with management to provide financial forecasting and budgeting support.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of tax laws, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Clear communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
