Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for management review.
- Ensure accuracy in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reconciliations.
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance requirements, ensuring all local and federal regulations are met.
- Process payroll with a focus on accuracy and timely weekly disbursements.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role (2+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
