Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of complex tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful reporting to support strategic decision-making by leadership.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with the finance team to implement automated accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for audits and internal reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not required).
- 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting or a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
- Must reside within the United States (Denver, CO preferred).
