Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, ensuring all deadlines are met and filings are accurate.
- Conduct variance analysis and budget forecasting to provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in our cloud-based accounting software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in general ledger accounting, preferably within a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Strong understanding of US tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
