Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights to senior management.
- Maintain accurate financial records and organize digital filing systems for audit readiness.
- Collaborate with the external audit team during annual reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must reside within or be willing to relocate to the Baltimore, Maryland area.
