Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable operations to ensure timely processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and financial audits.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial documentation in our ERP system.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize cash flow and budget forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.
