Responsibilities
- Process and manage semi-monthly and weekly payroll cycles for over 600 employees with 100% accuracy, ensuring all deductions and additions are calculated correctly.
- Prepare and reconcile payroll tax filings, including federal, state (WA), and local remittances to remain compliant with the latest regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, direct deposit, tax forms, and time-off balances.
- Collaborate closely with the HR department to ensure timely processing of new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation or benefits.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies and implement process improvements.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of timekeeping data and leave balances within the payroll software.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in payroll processing, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Proven expertise with major payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Paychex, or UKG.
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA, ERISA, and Washington State wage and hour laws.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and payroll-specific software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
