Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and corporate clients
- Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations
- Analyze financial statements to identify tax-saving opportunities
- Assist in IRS audits and tax controversy resolutions
- Utilize tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, Lacerte) for accurate calculations
- Collaborate with senior team members on complex tax planning strategies
- Maintain detailed client records and documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates encouraged)
- 0-2 years of tax experience or internship experience
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Eagerness to pursue CPA certification (required within 18 months)
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Valid driver's license (client site visits required)
