Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees in compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Calculate and process commissions, bonuses, and reimbursements accurately.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax returns, including quarterly and annual reporting.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll records to ensure data integrity and identify discrepancies.
- Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries, deductions, and benefit questions.
- Collaborate with the HR department to update employee records and ensure data consistency.
- Maintain and update payroll systems and documentation.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on payroll experience in a high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or Ceridian) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of California state payroll laws and regulations.
- High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines under pressure.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
