Responsibilities
- Execute accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees, ensuring adherence to company policies and federal/state regulations.
- Manage payroll data, including timekeeping, deductions, and adjustments, utilizing industry-standard software (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
- Prepare and file necessary federal, state, and local payroll tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax laws.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax forms (W-2s, 1099s), and payroll deductions with high customer service standards.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll records to identify discrepancies and prevent errors.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to update employee information and maintain accurate personnel files.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional payroll processing experience.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and payroll software systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data.
