Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for over 200 employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring 100% accuracy.
- Calculate and file federal, state, and local payroll taxes, including quarterly and annual filings, in strict adherence to deadlines.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, timekeeping data, and employee files in compliance with SOX and Department of Labor regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, resolving discrepancies and answering questions regarding paychecks, deductions, and tax statements (W-2s/1099s).
- Collaborate closely with the HR and Accounting departments to reconcile payroll data and ensure data integrity across systems.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end reporting, audits, and compensation analyses.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in payroll processing, preferably within a corporate or multi-state environment.
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, or Sage) and timekeeping systems.
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA, FICA, state-specific wage and hour laws, and ERISA regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex payroll concepts to non-finance staff.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources, or equivalent work experience.
