Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 200+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations including Alaska labor laws
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and benefit enrollments with precision
- Prepare and file payroll tax returns and year-end reports (W-2s, 1099s)
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies through audit trails
- Collaborate with HR on new hire onboarding and terminations
- Generate payroll analytics for leadership reporting
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience with ADP or equivalent HCM system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Active Alaska Payroll Certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Deep knowledge of FLSA, ACA, and Alaska state payroll regulations
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive employee data
